A Florida mother was killed and her 3-year-old daughter was badly injured in a shooting in their Orlando home on Sunday night.

Capucine Carson, 37, was declared dead inside her Wellesley Apartments home immediately after 11:30 p.m. after police were called to reports of gunfire, according to WKMG-TV.

Kimbella, her little daughter, was found injured and rushed to a nearby hospital in severe condition, according to family.

Nesha Carson, the murdered woman’s sister, informed the Orlando Sentinel that she was on the phone with Capucine at the moment of the tragic shooting.

Nesha stated she heard her sister argue on the phone with her unidentified partner before hearing the gunshots.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated that they know who the suspected shooter is and are aggressively looking for him.

Suspect wanted for killing Capucine Carson, shooting 3-year-old, shot himself in local Big Lots store

According to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office statement, at 7:52 p.m. Monday, investigators tried to contact the suspect in Carson’s murder.

The suspect, a 37-year-old male, allegedly rushed into the Big Lots store in the 700 block of Good Homes Road and shot himself.

Orange County Fire Rescue crews arrived and took the accused, who was in serious condition, to a local hospital.

Officials announced Monday night that there are no remaining suspects in the investigation.
