A SiriusXM DJ and a US postal worker have been charged in a narcotics trafficking case.

The substances were transported from California to the Hempstead Post Office, according to CBS2’s Jennifer McLogan.

According to the Nassau District Attorney and federal investigators, Lance Holmes, a hip-hop media personality widely recognized as “DJ Love Dinero,” reportedly seized a USPS mail delivery of illicit substances from mail carrier Adrianna Lewis, who was operating out of the Fulton Avenue postal building in Hempstead.

“It is alleged that Lewis was paid $500 per package that was delivered to Holmes,” Nassau DA Anne Donnelly said.

Holmes, of Hollis, Queens, was immediately suspended, according to SiriusXM. Holmes has a large numbers of fans and followers as a part-timer on Shade 45.

According to defense attorneys, Holmes and Lewis, both of Rockville Centre, have pleaded not guilty. Both were being held on significant bail.

Fentanyl and cocaine have a street value of $1 million.

“Holmes received at least 27 kilograms of narcotics along this postal route,” said Donnelly.

The flat-rate boxes were delivered from Southern California to numerous addresses along Lewis’ route, including one across from a grocery store where she reportedly handed them over to Holmes.

“The senders of these packages went to great lengths to avoid K9 detection,” said Donnelly.

Despite getting shrink wrapped and wrapped in fabric softener sheets and lubricants, they failed the K9 sniff test.

If convicted of the most serious charges, Holmes faces 25 years to life in prison. Lewis, who has a son, faces up to 20 years in prison.

Investigators said they followed the defendants for 3 months, but they think the narcotics scheme lasted longer.
