The CDC paid the NFL Alumni Association a staggering $3,500,000 to promote the COVID-19 vaccine, according to TMZ Sports.

According to U.S. Federal Procurement documents, the CDC and the NFL Alumni Assoc. agreed to sign the multi-million dollar deal in early May.

The contract’s overall worth is listed as $3.5 million with the funds designated for the “NFL Alumni (NFLA) Health COVID-19 Vaccination Community Outreach and Education Project.”

A group of retired football players founded the NFL Alumni in 1967. Former New York Giants lineman Bart Oates currently serves as the organization’s president.

Former NFL stars such as Franco Harris, Rod Woodson, and Harry Carson, among others, have provided pro-COVID-19 vax testimonials on the NFL Alumni website.
