According to authorities, a South Florida Love & Hip Hop star is facing domestic violence charges after allegedly punching his girlfriend.

Christopher Harty, aka “Prince of South Beach” from “Love & Hip Hop: Miami,” was arrested on Wednesday, according to Miami-Dade County jail records.

According to Miami police, Harty, 31, and the victim have been dating since May 2020.

According to an arrest report, Harty’s girlfriend went to his apartment in Brickell to return his shoes. When the woman tossed the shoes at Harty, he grabbed her, slammed her to the ground and punched her in the mouth, the report said. Harty dragged her by the hair and stopped her from leaving the apartment before she was able to break away and run to an elevator, the report said.

Authorities said neighbors helped the woman down the stairwell to the 14th floor, at which time she went to enter the elevator but saw that Harty was inside.

Police said Harty grabbed the victim and tried to pull her into the elevator to take her back to his apartment, but the victim broke free from his grasp while the neighbors ordered him to stop.

Once in the lobby area, the victim called police.

Authorities said she had minor scratches and bruises on her lip, neck, chest, arms, and legs, among other places.

His bond has been set at $25,000 bond.
