Mother Charged After Stabbing Her 5-Year-Old Daughter Multiple Times

Police determined a Pennsylvania mother stabbed her 5-year-old daughter several times and was arrested on Wednesday.

The alleged attack took place in York, Pennsylvania, about 100 miles west of Philadelphia, early that morning.

According to CBS 21, the girl told her grandmother, who had discovered her bleeding from stab wounds to her stomach, “Mommy did it.”

According to Penn Live, the girl’s 9-year-old brother later told police that his sister pleaded with their mother to stop the assault. The boy said, “Mommy will not stop.”

According to the York Dispatch, the boy called his grandmother at 7:30 a.m. to say he was ready to go to school. The mother called ten minutes later to say she had stabbed her daughter, according to the newspaper.

According to CBS 21, when the grandmother arrived, she bundled the girl in a blanket and rushed her to a local hospital. According to police, the girl was airlifted to Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey.

Cierra Allen, a 30-year-old mom, was charged with aggravated assault, attempted criminal homicide, endangering the health of children, and two counts of attempted criminal homicide.

According to the York Dispatch, the girl is expected to live.

Commissioner Michael Muldrow of the York City Police Department requested prayers for the young girl.
