A woman is facing charges after she fatally hit a female pedestrian with her vehicle and then immediately drove away from the scene.

The crash was reported after 10 p.m. on Friday.  The identity of the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene has not been released.

Immediately after the reported fatal hit-and-run, deputies responded to a call about a crash at another intersection.

Corshana Hatter, 27, the suspected driver, and her passenger were immediately arrested after they tried to flee the scene from deputies.

Hatter was charged with failing to register vehicle,  driving without a license,  DUI, and leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.
