A pair in Redmond have been charged in connection to an infant’s death. The two were watching the 10-week-old while the mother was out of town.

On the morning of Feb. 17, 2021, Redmond police responded to an apartment and found a 10-week-old baby boy dead inside.

According to a statement released by Redmond police on Saturday, the months-long investigation into Gregory’s death turned up evidence that supported  “gross negligence by the two adults responsible for the child’s care.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office unveiled court records on Saturday showing that in the week that the child was in their care, the two adults decided to waste their cash on marijuana rather than the child’s formula.”

The baby’s health continued to deteriorate, and the adults made no effort to reach out for medical assistance. The child died as a result of malnutrition.
