Mesquite police released footage of a wanted felon shooting at cops, who returned fire and injured him. Last week, this occurred in the parking lot of a children’s trampoline facility.

Police also revealed the 911 call from earlier in the day, when the suspect rushed into a man’s residence with a gun.

According to court documents, the suspect, Ladarious Davis, was on bond at the time of the incident.

A judge has declined bond on the new counts, so he is still being held in the Dallas County jail.

The man is seen on security camera video removing a handgun from his bag and taking aim at officers outside the entrance of Urban Air Adventure Park, which is located off the LBJ Freeway.

This officer-involved shooting occurred on March 14, just before the business’s closing time.

The 911 call was received shortly before 4 p.m. at the Durham Apartments, near Town East Mall. The victim stated that an armed individual he did not recognize barged into his apartment.

“He was banging on my door with a hammer and when I opened up the door, he kind of made himself into my house and he had a gun and he was looking for his sister,” the victim told police.

“He cocked the pistol. Click clack,” the victim said last week to FOX 4. “He’s like breathing all hard and he’s backing up, and all of a sudden, the dude just leaves.”

Officers eventually arrived on the site to investigate, but they were unable to locate the armed man.

During the investigation, police said a family member informed them that the suspect, Davis, was at a local indoor trampoline park.

Officers may be seen approaching on bodycam video. Davis, according to police, was armed at the time. A barrage of gunfire is heard as the police approaches an automobile.

Mesquite police also revealed surveillance camera footage that they stated showed Davis.

It augmented the footage with audio from body-worn cameras. Davis reportedly fired three rounds at officers, all of which were missed. Two cops returned fire, striking Davis.

Officers approached carefully, calling out commands to Davis, who was lying on the ground.

An officer then stated that they needed to go to Davis as soon as possible. “Okay, he’s bleeding a lot. We’ve got to push up there,” the officer said.

Officers then approached Davis and administered “life-saving measures” before transporting Davis to a hospital and transferring him to the Dallas County jail.
