CVS Employee Arrested After Authorities Find 62 Fake COVID-19 Cards

Nassau County police said on Thursday that Zachary Honig, 21, a CVS employee was arrested after allegedly stealing eight pre-filled vaccination cards that were missing the names of the people who would possibly utilize them, and also 54 blank ones discovered in his car.

When they searched his car, they also found a controlled substance.

According to WABC, Honig informed police that he stole the cards from his employer. According to WABC, he also said that he had provided some cards to students and planned to share the rest with friends and family.

Honig is now facing eight charges, including forgery, illegal possession of a controlled drug, illegal possession of a weapon, and petit larceny.

“His intent was to share them with family members and friends that they can go into venues and possibly even use them at school when they go back in September,” Commissioner Patrick Ryder of the Nassau County Police Department told WABC.
