Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love.
The rap artist DaBaby would no longer take the stage at 9 p.m. on the Bud Light Seltzer Stage. Simply put, the festival announced on social media that Young Thug, who was previously scheduled to perform at 4 p.m. on the T-Mobile stage, will indeed take his place, with Chicago rapper G Herbo taking over T-Mobile stage afternoon duties.
DaBaby’s exclusion from the venue comes just days after the rapper made offensive comments to the audience at Rolling Loud Miami last weekend.
“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he said. “Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!”
DaBaby unveiled a new single and video titled “Giving What It’s Supposed to Give” on Wednesday (July 28). The self-directed video appears to have made two references to his Rolling Loud rant.
