After a shooting at a Dallas event venue on Sunday, several people were injured, one of whom is in critical condition.

At around midnight, officers from the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting in the 5200 block of Botham Jean Boulevard.

According to police, the shooting occurred at The Space Dallas, an event venue.

According to preliminary reports, approximately 9 people were injured; however, the exact number of people injured is unknown at the moment.

Dallas Fire-Rescue officials could only verify that at least 4 people were taken to hospitals in the area as a result of the shooting.

According to police, one person is in critical condition as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.

One eyewitness, who did not want to be identified due to safety concerns, told NBC5 that he heard a shot while waiting in line to enter the venue.

According to police, a few people were hurt when they were squashed by the crowd in the ensuing chaos, while others suffered only minor injuries such as shoulder pain. Other people had been injured as a result of gunshot wounds.

According to police, at least one victim was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital, and more children could have been affected.

According to early reports, gunshots were heard while police were on the scene, but it is unclear if the shots were fired at the officers. Officers from the police department did not return fire.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing, according to police.
