Overnight, a bond was set in court for a woman accused of killing a mom who was safeguarding her baby. The probable cause hearing did not go as planned.

The public defender told the judge that Tranisha Latavia Miller, 25, did not wish to show up for her bond hearing after she turned herself in earlier in the week.

A judge set her bond at $900,000, with $750,000 set aside for murder and $150,000 set aside for aggravated assault.

The violent act was characterized as “dating violence” in court.

Miller is accused of ambushing her ex-boyfriend and gunning down his new girlfriend.

Miller sat between parked cars prior to actually attempting to kill the couple as they strolled back to the house from a convenience store, according to police.

According to police, she started shooting at her ex-boyfriend before turning toward Chante Wilson, 21.

Her ex-boyfriend did survive, but his new girlfriend was shot several times while clutching her 1-year-old son. She was taken to the hospital, where she died a short time later.

If she posts bail, Miller will be placed under house arrest and will be unable to contact her ex-boyfriend.
