In 2015, a defendant pleaded guilty to injecting silicone into a woman’s buttocks, resulting in her death.
On April 1, Texas resident Nitica Deonte Lee, 49, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Lee, who is not a medical practitioner, is accused of injecting silicone into the buttocks of a 22-year-old woman at a hotel near the St. Louis airport on July 26, 2015. On July 30, 2015, the victim died of a silicone pulmonary embolism.
According to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, the woman was a fugitive for five years after injecting the victim and even spent time in Mexico. The Dallas Police Department arrested Lee on July 23, 2020.
