A SICK anesthetist reportedly sexually assaulted a pregnant lady while performing a C-section after excessively sedating her.
Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, 32, was arrested on accusations of rape after being captured on video abusing a lady at So Joo de Meriti Hospital in Rio de Janeiro.
Bezerra apparently finished his anesthesia medical speciality two months ago.
According to the Brazilian news site Globo, his coworkers grew skeptical of the number of medications he was giving to his patients.
Bezerra apparently performed two further procedures on Sunday, but his worried medical team was unable to set up a covert camera to monitor what he was doing.
The crew was able to move go in the operating room for his third surgery of the day at the last moment and install a hidden camera. The anesthetist was filmed inserting his penis in the unconscious woman’s mouth.
Police commended medical employees for intervening and capturing the crime.
According to the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice, the doctor’s detention hearing will take place on Tuesday.
In Brazil, he is charged with rape and faces a prison sentence of 8 to 15 years.
