A man from Miami has been charged with sexual battery after allegedly running up behind a Walmart shopper and ripping her clothes off before attempting to rape her.
The sex attacker, identified by police as Bredan Harvey, 28, of Miami Gardens, assaulted the stranger in a Miami Dade store Saturday while the victim was shopping.
Harvey allegedly pulled up the woman’s dress while she was browsing the aisles of the supermarket, then grabbed her buttocks.
When the shocked customer turned to attack her, the pervert pushed her to the floor and grabbed her thighs and panties.
She yelled for help and was able to elicit assistance from nearby consumers. Shoppers inside the store reacted immediately and tried to pull Harvey away from the victim.
However, footage of the altercation, which was recorded after Harvey was removed from the woman, shows her trying to prop herself against the aisle a few feet away from the scene.
The Miami Dade Police Department confirmed to DailyMail.com that Harvey, who was originally kept without bond, appeared before a judge on Monday, where it was disclosed that he was out on probation at the time of the attack.
Before he was granted a $50,000 bond, he was told to stay away from the woman and the Walmart store.
