In northwest Harris County late Sunday night, a father shot a man he claimed was peeping into his daughter’s window.
A husband and wife approached an intoxicated guy inappropriately touching himself outside their little daughter’s window around 10 p.m. Sunday, according to Harris County sheriff’s deputies.
When she heard her daughter scream, she and her husband dashed out of the home, weapons drawn, to confront the man. They’re both licensed to carry handguns.
“She looks over at the window and this guy is at her window,” the girl’s mother, who asked not to be identified, told KPRC-TV.
The couple told the man to lay down until the authorities arrived. The peeper didn’t comply and strolled over to the local Valero gas station, according to ABC7.
The armed pair pursued the man until they arrived at the Valero petrol station. The woman allegedly detained the man outside the gas station as the husband walked inside and urged the clerk to call 911, according to authorities.
According to deputies, the man then grabbed the firearm from the wife’s grip and pointed it at her.
Deputies stated the father fired his pistol three times because he was afraid the man would start firing.
According to the sheriff’s office, the man was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
The case will be forwarded to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for a grand jury investigation, according to deputies.
