Two dogs, both of which were believed to be rottweilers, were on the loose when one attacked a child named Kasion.
Dwayne Patrick, who was cruising by at the time, witnessed the ferocious dog attack. He says he shot the attacking animal with his legally obtained and licensed gun.
“I caught the attack on camera. I immediately took action, jumped out, told everybody to move, and discharged my firearm,” said Patrick. “There were a lot of people out there. They were beating the dogs shooting with a paintball gun, trying to do everything to get the dog off the child, but there was nothing no one could do.”
Patrick met Kasion on the way home from the hospital with his mother and aunt.
He received multiple stitches for cuts to his ankles and face.
“You’re really strong,” said Patrick as he and his girlfriend gave the family get-well cards.
According to police, Patrick will NOT face any charges. Officials are still on the lookout for the dogs’ owners.
