Dr. Dre ‘s wife just filed papers claiming there was no prenup in their marriage, but not because she didn’t sign one before they got married, but because Dre actually tore it up a couple of years after they got married!!
According to the legal documents obtained by The Blast, Nicole Young asks the judge to bifurcate the issues surrounding the couple’s prenup— in other words, to ignore the prenup issue before continuing with the divorce.
In the document, Young says the reason she’s filing suit, is that Dr. Dre is now trying to claim that the couple entered the prenup in 1996 before they got married, and he wants it honored.
According to the document, Nicole had sign something before the couple married in 1996, but she felt that she was forced to sign the document at the time, and that it was unfair and favored Dre in the event of a divorce.
At the time, Nicole claims Dr. Dre “felt ashamed he had pressured me into signing a premarital agreement and he tore up multiple copies of the agreement in front of me.”
Dr. Dre reacted to Nicole ‘s divorce by promising to pay her spousal support, but he believes that the division of property should be governed by the details of the prenup.
