Authorities in Harris County, Texas, said a 7-year-old boy was gunned down inside his home during a drive-by shooting.

According to Harris County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Brown, the unidentified gunman drove in front of a mobile home and opened fire around 10:45 p.m. Sunday.

Paul Vasquez, who was inside the trailer, was shot in the chest, the sheriff’s office said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, authorities said.

Brown stated that Paul’s mother and two brothers were present in the home at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

Authorities stated that no motive has been established and that no suspects have been identified.

Authorities believe the gunman’s vehicle is a white or gray four-door sedan.

This deadly shooting comes just one week after an 11-year-old girl was killed by outside gunfire in a Detroit home.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that he’s “outraged.”

“This is the daily toll of gun violence … Let’s not accept daily gun violence as our norm,” he tweeted. “We can and we must do more.”
