Authorities in California caught a man driving with a mannequin to avoid a ticket.
The California Highway Patrol said the man was in the carpool lane driving a Toyota Tacoma. When the cop pulled up beside the Toyota he noticed the passenger wasn’t moving and pulled the driver over for his window tint.
After rolling the window, the driver stated the passenger was not a real person and he had been driving with the mannequin for more than a year before he was finally caught by the officer.
The mannequin can be seen wearing a disposable face mask, a Cleveland Indians hat, and a red flannel shirt. The thing even had gray hairs and wrinkles.
“By far, one of the best dummies we have ever seen,” officials said in the post. “At least he was following CDC guidelines by wearing his face mask.”
