Elaine Thompson-Herah of Jamaica stunned the world when she broke Florence Griffith Joyner’s 33-year Olympic record in the women’s 100 meters.

Thompson-Herah confidently pointed to the scoreboard as she approached the finish line, earning her second consecutive gold title and leading Jamacia to a gold, silver, and bronze medal sweep in this race.

“The pointing, I don’t know what it means,” she told ESPN. To show that I was clear. I knew that I won.” We know that’s right!

The athlete beat Flo-Jo’s 1988 record-setting time by .01 second and record set at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
