Doorbell video captured the minute a robber impersonating an Amazon delivery driver drew a gun on a resident, only to have the weapon snatched from his grip as the victim and his dog fought him to the ground.
Vicente Forde, 32, knocked on the house in East Dulwich, south London, dressed in a high-vis jacket and carrying an empty box before extracting the loaded shotgun from his jacket.
The victim, who was at home with his little daughter and on the phone with a friend at the time, rips the gun from Forde and throws it under a neighboring car, according to doorbell footage.
During the battle, Forde punches and kicks the man, threatening to kill him if he doesn’t relinquish go of the weapon.
In an attempt to defend his owner, the victim’s dog, a French Bulldog, is seen leaping up at the assailant.
Members of the public, including some nearby contractors, rushed to the victim’s help and detained Forde until authorities arrived to take him into custody.
At Croydon Crown Court, Forde pleaded guilty to possessing a weapon with the intent to induce fear of violence.
