Jacksonville International Airport police announced Friday that an airplane traveler had been arrested, and the FBI is investigating the situation.

On Saturday, Michael Bairos Costa, 42, was identified as the guy by News4Jax. He is accused with making threats, disorderly intoxication, assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest without violence.

A source confirmed that a couple was on the plane with a small child. The pair was told that the child was too old to sit on someone’s lap and that the lady consented to catch another plane, but Costa grew enraged and wanted to be taken off the plane too.

According to the source and video, Costa repeatedly punched another passenger, and there was an off-duty JSO officer on the aircraft. Costa smacked the officer’s identification out of her palm when she tried to intervene.

Other passengers wrestled Costa to the floor and restrained him until police arrived to arrest him.
