Brandon Shelton, 29, has been charged with 11 counts of possessing child pornography and six counts of sexual activity with animals by Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies.
Shelton was arrested Tuesday following a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Officials discovered 11 electronic files containing videos and photographs depicting children in sexually exploitative situations during the investigation. The victims were estimated to be between the ages of two and three and seven and nine.
According to detectives, Shelton admitted to downloading and forwarding suspected child pornography. Additionally, Shelton stated that he was the male subject in videos seen wearing a gold watch and having sexual relations with his wife’s dog.
Detectives executed a search warrant at Shelton’s home last month and interviewed her. They seized a variety of items, including electronics, his gold watch, and the family’s two dogs. Volusia County Animal Services has taken in the dogs.
Shelton was released on $116,000 bail from the Volusia County Jail.
