Deputies say a 36-year-old woman from Safety Harbor and a 39-year-old man from Largo engaged in sexual activity with their dog and were arrested.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Christina Calello voluntarily participated in sexual activity with the dog while her ex-boyfriend Geoffrey Springer videotaped it.

It happened several times over the course of around 8 years, according to a news release issued by the agency on Wednesday. Springer saved the recordings to a USB flash drive.

Deputies transported the dog to a nearby pet hospital. According to the release, no visible injuries were discovered during the examination.

Calello and Springer were both arrested and logged into the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday. Calello was subsequently released on a surety bond, while Springer was released on his own recognizance, according to jail documents.

Each faces a felony charge of animal sexual activity.
