According to WSBTV, Atlanta police say that former four-time Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl linebacker Chip Banks is in severe condition after being shot.
Atlanta police spokeswoman Marla Rooker said three men with apparent gunshot wounds were found after responding to a shooting in on Oliver Street Atlanta just before 1 p.m.
Charles Pharms Jr., one of the victims, was declared dead on scene. Banks and the third man had been alive and alert. They were taken to Grady Memorial hospital.

Banks, 60, had been in critical condition, Rooker said. There was no news on the other survivor, whom Rooker named as Bennie C. Harris.
Banks was the Browns’ No. 3 pick in the 1982 NFL draft. In 1982 he was named rookie of the year before being named to four Pro Bowl teams.
