Former NBA Player Richard Jefferson Makes His Debut as NBA Referee

Richard Jefferson has jumped over to the OPPS side, the former NBA player made his first appearance as an NBA official last night during the Knicks-Blazers Summer League game.

The 17-year NBA veteran was chosen to oversee the second quarter of Portland’s game against New York after the league said that he participated in daily Summer League Officiating Meetings in Las Vegas.

Richard’s first game as a referee was against the Knicks, a team he tortured on the court during his career.
