While Migos try to sidesteps breakup speculations, Offset is going to battle with the group’s record company, filing a lawsuit over his solo career.

Offset filed documents, which TMZ Hip Hop acquired, in which he chastises Quality Control Records of failing to honor an agreement they reached in January 2021.

Offset asserts that he managed to negotiate his solo deal and “paid handsomely” for his artist rights, but now that he’s launched a new solo record, QC isn’t trying to honor the agreement.

He recently released the Baby Keem-produced solo single “54321,” which he claims QC inaccurately claimed as its own, an action he describes as “hostile.”

Offset also intends to release another track, “Code,” with Moneybagg Yo this Friday, supposedly only on Motown Records, the label with which he agreed to sign for his solo career.

Quavo and Takeoff started releasing music under the pseudonym “Unc & Phew” earlier in the year and, sparking break-up allegation. Except for the purported split, Quavo was open to discussing anything.

Offset’s Migos contract with QC is still in effect, but when it comes to his solo career, he wants the court to decide that QC doesn’t own anything else he’s created since January 15, 2021, or in the upcoming years.
