A truly horrific video managed to capture the momement a woman was crushed to death in front of her daughter in a Mexico City gym by a 400-pound barbell.

The 42-year-old mother was working out Monday at Fitness Sport in the Peralvillo neighborhood, the Mirror reported. A muscle bound man was seen tweaking the weight plates before she got into position.

However, the lady loses control of the barbell, which falls and shatters her neck, the outlet reported, citing Newsflash.

The guy and her daughter attempt to lift the massive weight before two additional people scramble over to assist in the woman’s hopeless rescue attempt.

The guy can be seen lying the lady on her side as others look on in shock and horror. After the horrific catastrophe, her daughter is said to be receiving psychiatric help.

It has been stated that the gym owner was temporarily detained in order to verify the identification of the woman.

The incident is still being investigated.
