Grisly Discovery: Legs Found 2 Days in a Row at Bronx Sewage Plant

A second leg was discovered early Thursday at a sewage screening facility in the Bronx, a day after a leg, potentially from a baby, was unearthed at the exact same spot, according to police.

The grisly discovery was made around 1 a.m. Thursday at the Ryawa Avenue facility in Hunts Point, according to authorities. The first leg, possibly from the knee down, was found around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to authorities.

There was no word on whether the second leg was also a baby’s, according to police. The Medical Examiner’s Office is looking into the incident.

A spokesperson for the Department of Environmental Protection declined to comment, referring PIX11 to the NYPD.
