Officials say a Connecticut woman allegedly stabbed her grandmother and the grandmother’s boyfriend to death in a brutal crime after an argument over possessions.

Police discovered Harlee Swols, 22, soaked in blood after stabbing 72-year-old Maryrose Riach 42 times and 63-year-old James Samuel Bell 22 times at Riach’s Enfield apartment, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Swols went to her grandma’s home to pick up her belongings and an argument ensued.

Detectives asked her what happened before the murders and she stated “not good things, clearly,” records show.

An autopsy revealed that Riach and Bell’s throats had been slashed and they had both been stabbed dozens of times at their home, where Swols was located by responding officers “soaking wet with water and blood” as a shower ran, according to the reports.

Bell was declared dead at the scene, while Riach, who had a feeble pulse, perished from her wounds at a hospital later that day. According to reports, both had significant defensive wounds.

Swols, who was detained at the scene for breaking a protection order from a July incident, was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation by a judge, according to Enfield police.

She has been charged with two counts of murder Wednesday. Swols was still being held in jail on a $2 million bond on Thursday, according to online records.
