Video Shows The Moment People Run For Cover As Gunshots Ring Out Near George Floyd Memorial Site (Image: Screenshot/YouTube)
People in the crowd stated they overheard several bullets fired during a remembrance ceremony for the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death on Tuesday morning. According to police, one individual was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
It happened at George Floyd Square, the crossing of 38th and Chicago in Minneapolis, where ex MPD officer Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd.
The NBC News camera recorded the sound of multiple gunshots and also smoke near an SUV’s driver’s window. A guy can be seen racing out of the Cup Foods corner store with what appears to be a handgun, maybe in response to gunshots, although he is not seen firing.
