Authorities say a hit-and-run driver who was possibly street racing pummeled into the back of a car in Palmdale, killing two people, according to ABC7.

According to Sheriff’s officials, the Challenger was traveling west at a fast speed in the second position lane of Rancho Vista when it collided with the Corolla from behind, triggering the motorist to end up losing control of the vehicle, which hit a power pole and rolled over, becoming completely surrounded by fire.

The male driver was thrown from the vehicle, and the female passenger (Spechelle Pope) was trapped inside.

Spechelle Pope is a young mother of 4 kids. She was a rider in a ride-share vehicle on her way to the grocery store.

The driver’s identity has not been revealed. Spechelle is survived by her son, two toddlers, and an infant.
