Millions of dollars in jewelry and other valuables were taken from an armored truck in Southern California.
The Brink’s armored truck was on its way to a jewelry show in Pasadena early on July 11 when it was hijacked near the mountain enclave of Frazier Park and abandoned, according to officials.
It had been packed the day before after a show in San Francisco. The FBI office in Lancaster is looking into the matter. It’s unknown how the robbery happened or what occurred to the Brinks workers.
Several exhibitors had goods on the truck, and several had lost their whole life earnings. Insurance is only anticipated to cover a portion of their losses.
There is also contradicting information regarding the merchandise’s worth. According to Brink’s, the items are worth less than $10 million. However, exhibitors claim the worth is between $100 million and $150 million.
