A Florida mother was accidentally shot and killed by her toddler while coworkers watched in horror on a Zoom call.

Shamaya Lynn, 21, was on a work Zoom call when the coworkers heard a loud blast and Lynn fell backward as a toddler stood in the background, according to Altamonte Springs police.

Lynn died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to paramedics who arrived on the scene.

According to investigators, one of Lynn’s two small children discovered a loaded gun that had been left unattended in the residence and shot the mom.

The firearm, according to investigators, belongs to the father of the victim’s two children. Detectives are working with the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office to determine whether any charges should be brought against the father.
