A 23-year-old woman has been arrested for shooting into the residence of another woman while her kids were inside.

According to FOX13, Johari Jenkins was charged with multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and other offenses after a woman reported a shooting in her home to Memphis police.

The fact that the children overheard Jenkins say, “I hope I hit one of those little *itches” is bizarre. After the first shot was fired, Jenkins reportedly walked to the 2nd floor breezeway and fired 4 to 5 times into the living room window.

The witness reportedly heard Jenkins say, “since I already got a charge on me, I might as well get another one today by killing you and your kids b****.”

The witness also reportedly heard Jenkins say, “I hope I hit one of your kids and I’m going to kill you next b****.”

According to the affidavit, when investigators arrived at the scene, they spoke with the children, who provided a statement detailing the shooting and identified Jenkins in a six-person picture roster as the shooter.

Jenkins has no bond information according to court records and is due in court on June 6.
