At an Orlando International Airport gate, a man was Tasered and handcuffed, according to police.
At United Airlines gate 46 on Thursday, officers were dispatched to investigate an assault on a woman and United gate agent.
Police have identified the man in the video as 34-year-old Yonkers, New York resident Ryan Martin, who was seen on a witness’ cellphone yelling and threatening people at Gate 46.
“I had a couple of drinks before a (expletive) flight,” the man can be heard yelling in the video.
Applause erupted as the police arrived soon afterward. Moments after he emerges from the stairwell, a stun gun is heard firing, as shown on video.
It doesn’t appear as if the man is fazed by the officer’s repeated orders to get on the ground.
The officer is seen tackling the man. A bystander is said to have come to the aid of the officer as he fought with Martin on the ground.
The officer allegedly zapped the man multiple times while attempting to handcuff him, according to the police.
In the video, the man is brought to his feet, strapped into a wheelchair, and escorted away as people cheer.
The victim was questioned by police after the irate man was handcuffed. According to the report, Martin became angry and aggressive and started drinking at the airport, according to the woman. Records show that the mother stated Martin pushed her child and told them to walk.
Martin was taken into custody by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with child abuse, disorderly intoxication, domestic violence, battery, and resisting an officer with violence, among other things..
