Authorities say a 22-year-old man accused of raping 4-year-old twins in Pennsylvania was arrested Tuesday in a New York homeless shelter.
Isaiah Metz, 22, was arrested just after 11 p.m., according to Patch. Officers used a taser to subdue him after he resisted arrest, police said. According to court records, Metz faces over 100 charges in Pennsylvania.
Involuntary deviant sexual encounters with children, aggravated indecent assault on a child under the age of 13, and indecent assault on a child under the age of 13 are among the charges.
He faces over 50 counts of child sexual abuse (photographing, videotaping, and computerizing sexual acts) and child sexual abuse (child pornography).
Metz was also on parole in Pennsylvania for allegedly assaulting a cop.
Metz was found early Tuesday morning at a shelter on West 30th Street, but when officers approached to arrest him, he punched both officers in the head, bit one in the arm, and fled.
According to the NYPD, he is now charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, assault, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, and criminal trespassing.
Metz was happy after his arrest, The New York Post reported. He spit at a Post photographer as he was walked into the police precinct.
