Shortly after police discovered the remains of a missing Connecticut mother, her husband was taken into custody in connection with her homicide.

Jessica Edwards, 30, was reported missing by her family on May 10, authorities said, a day after enjoying her first Mother’s Day.

The South Windsor Police Department stated Friday evening that they had located her body earlier that day in the entryway to the Hockanum River Linear Park in East Hartford, after a nearly two-week search.

A few hours later, the department revealed that Tahj Hutchinson, 22, Edwards’ spouse, had been arrested in connection with her death.

He has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, but further charges may be made awaiting the findings of the autopsy and the conclusion of the investigation, according to police.
