A judge on Monday affirmed a judgment of $107 million against imprisoned former rap mogul Marion’s “Suge ” Knight and Death Row Records, awarded back in 2005, according to NBC Los Angeles.

On Lydia Harris ‘ objection, the woman who had obtained the original judgment and later agreed with Knight that it should be annulled, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Sotelo said that he would not reevaluate his December decision to reinstate the judgment.

The judge, in his December decision, said Harris ‘ sole argument for the set-aside was that the judgment belonged to the bankruptcy estate of Knight.

At his infancy in 1989, Harris maintained that she and her husband, Michael, had made investments in Death Row Records and that she was the first vice president of the company. She was suing after she was reportedly pushed out by the former rap mogul after the label started making money.

Last Sept. 20, at the request of Harris, Sotelo annulled the judgment after Harris raised questions about how her lawyers from the Wasserman, Comden & Casselman firm won the case against Knight and Death Row Records.

Harris ‘ current attorney, Dermot Givens, held an Oct. 14 news conference with Harris in which he alleged the motion to nullify the judgment was necessary as her former attorneys, the bankruptcy trustee and others worked together to use her to get the judgment wrongfully.

The case was back in court today because Harris asked the judge to reevaluate matters again by vacating his decision in December and reinstating the ruling in her favor in September. In his court papers, Givens said lawyers for the law firm provided no evidence as to whether the 2005 judgment was divided into pre-and post-bankruptcy segments.

In October 2018, Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison for running over and killing former rap music label owner Terry Carter on the set of the movie “Straight Outta Compton. ”
