According to several sources, La La Anthony filed for divorce from Carmelo Anthony on June 17 in New York.
According to many reports, the pair has been split for some time but remains acquaintances. They both wanted to give their 14-year-old son, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, a quiet and peaceful changeover in their partnership.
The Power star, 41, and the Portland Trail Blazers star, 37, married in 2010.
Since their initial separation in April 2017, the pair has been on and off. They reconnected in late 2018 following their first split declaration, but in July 2019, PEOPLE reported they were living apart as La La obtained legal advice on how to proceed with the relationship.
La La Anthony, 41, has played a variety of roles throughout her illustrious entertainment career. She is an author, businesswoman, producer, and actor who was a host on MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL) in the early 2000s.
Carmelo Anthony, 36, has played in the NBA for 18 seasons and will be a free agency this offseason. Anthony is a ten-time All-Star and a six-time NBA All-Star.
