According to a press release issued by the Clark County School District Police Department, a high school teacher has been arrested for “engaging in sexual activity with a pupil.”
Michael Loyd, 34, is a teacher at Palo Verde High School, according to the police. Since January of 2016, he has been working for the CCSD.
Loyd was arrested on charges of open/gross lewdness, school employee engaging in sex with a student, and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.
According to police, he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center but “will be assigned to home in accordance with the negotiated agreement with the bargaining unit.”
