A Florida man attacked a lady who explicitly denied his efforts and offers to pay her $5,000 to have sex with him, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the woman and her boyfriend were at Smiles in Palm Coast at Monday when Rene Laso, 55, arrived.
Laso had been tormenting the victim for months, according to the victim, so the pair tried to question him about bothering the lady at work and giving her money in return for sex.
According to records, all 3 proceeded outside the bar to settle the matter.
According to the complaint, Laso acknowledged propositioning the lady and referring to her as a “$100 hooker,” which is when the fight escalated and Laso added, “I have a knife and will cut you.”
The woman was stabbed in the right arm, while her boyfriend was stabbed in the arms, stomach, and back.
According to a news release, customers at the bar toppled over Laso’s motorcycle, preventing him from leaving.
“This case had the potential to be much more tragic,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly stated. “Alcohol, bickering, and firearms are a dangerous combination. Fortunately, the victims’ injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, and we hope they recover completely. I believe that all of this began because Laso was seeking for a date, and now he has one — with the judge.”
Laso has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
