Married Florida Youth Pastor Caught With Teen Girl In Hotel Room by ‘Angel’ Maid

A Polk County youth pastor was jailed on Monday for allegedly attempting to have intercourse with a juvenile who attended his church.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd stated that Andrew Weaver, 29, of Lakeland and youth pastor at Highlands Church of Christ in Lakeland, was arrested on suspicion of having an improper contact with a 17-year-old girl in his youth ministry.

The teen told the police that the pastor was counseling her. She stated that she told the pastor about her sexual desires and then the pastor asked if he was in any of her ‘fantasies’. The victim then showed the pastor nude pics of herself on her phone.

Later, her and the pastor went to a hotel in late December. While in the hotel, a maid reportedly knocked on the door and scared the pair and they exited the room immediately. When question by police, the pastor felt he ‘crossed a line’ with the teen.

The Highlands Church of Christ released a statement that said, “Last week we became aware of allegations of our Student Minister being involved in criminal conduct and we reported this to the Florida Department of Children and Family and to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. His employment has been terminated and we are cooperating with the investigation being conducted by the Sheriff’s office. We are devastated by what has occurred and we are praying for healing for our church and for those involved.”
