In what investigators described as a “targeted act of violence,” Miami Dade police are investigating a deadly mass shooting that left more than 20 people injured. Two individuals have died as a result of their wounds, according to authorities.
According to authorities, victims were transported to multiple hospitals in Miami Dade and Broward areas, some in their own automobiles.
According to authorities, the concert stopped just after midnight, and people were gathering outside when a white Nissan Pathfinder SUV rolled up, and three people emerged, brandishing assault weapons and pistols, and began firing indiscriminately into the audience.
Eight individuals were taken from the area by paramedics, while at least 12 others were transported or drove themselves to other hospitals, according to police.
Seven individuals were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital after being treated at Palmetto General Hospital.
You never know what its like until you have something jerked away from you,” said Chad, the father of one of the victims of the shooting, a 19-year-old female.
