The names of two of the three victims found deceased inside a West Fort Worth residence on Tuesday, June 1 have been revealed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Holly Beverly, 39, and her son, Titus Akins, 17, were murdered in a suspected murder-suicide, according to Fort Worth authorities.
The shooter, who has yet to be identified, is believed to have shot his way inside their residence, according to authorities.
On his 17th birthday, Akins was gunned down.
He finished high school a year early as valedictorian, according to a GoFundMe campaign.
Two youngsters were also seen leaving the apartment after the shooting, according to neighbors. They did not appear to be physically injured, but they did seemed to be in fright.
Fort Worth police have released a few more insights into the perpetrator who turned the gun on himself after killing the mother and son.
“We can tell you now that the suspect and the female victim were estranged spouses that had reportedly been apart approximately two to three years,” said Fort Worth Officer Buddy Calzada.
