Tory Lanez was handcuffed in court. taken into custody and his bail was increased after a judge ruled that he violated the protective order in his case with Meg Thee Stallion by discussing her on social networking sites.
The Canadian rap artist appeared in court in Los Angeles on Tuesday, where he was remanded into the custody of the Sheriff’s Department and his bail was set at $350,000. Prosecutors had asked that he be held without bail, or that it be set at $5 million.

Tory tweeted in February, “Good d* had me f*ing 2 best friends … and I got caught … that’s what I apologized for … it’s sick how u Spun it tho …”
According to TMZ, he’s in the process of posting the $350,000.
Prosecutors were also concerned about a February twitter post from DJ Akademiks, which stated, “BREAKING: It was revealed in court few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case.”
Embed from Getty ImagesThe prosecution thinks that information was given to Ak by Tory’s team. Tory’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, said that wasn’t conceivable since DJ Akademiks’ initial tweet was incorrect. Tory’s DNA was not found on the gun magazine, and a sample taken from the gun was inconclusive.
Ak followed up his initial tweet with a new one that conveyed the inconclusive discovery about 15 minutes later.
