Nivea recently spoke with Kandi Burruss of Xscape for her show ‘On That Note’, where the singer discussed her personal experiences in her career and life.

Nivea attracted the attention of numerous guys in the music business, including Lil Wayne, in the early 2000s after unleashing pop hits like as “Laundromat” and “Don’t Mess With My Man.”

Nivea claims Wayne told her he wanted to make a song with her but then admitted he simply “wanted her number.” Nivea claims that after a brief romance, Wayne pushed her to give up her singing career so he could “take care of her.” “I remember thinking [the label] poured all that money into that girl, and she just up and quit,” Kandi lamented to Nivea while recalling.

Nivea went on to add that after effectively retiring from music and becoming a housewife, Wayne told her that he desired to live in an apartment because he’s never done it before. Then he just did it to get rid of Nivea so he could bring his baby mother, Toya Johnson, into the house.
