This Is What Makes Burger King’s Whoppers So Delicious
Burger King is going to remove its legendary Whopper burger from its discount menu, and the company’s parent company has intentions to raise prices as a result to offset higher costs, according to FOX Business.
The president of Burger King North America operations said on a conference call Tuesday that the company had lifted “some price caps on some selected items” and “removed Whopper from our core discount” menu as a result of rising inflation.
His company’s “strongest brand equity” and the foundation of its growth, he acknowledged, is the company’s burger, which is a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty.
That in mind, the company will continue to look for “opportunities for some incremental discounting here and there in the future,” he added, but “it won’t be every day.”
Despite the fact that the burger was removed from the chain’s two-for-five deal, the burger may still be available at a reduced price in the future, depending on demand.
Sundaes, whipped toppings, and chocolate milk, among other less-popular menu items, will no longer be available at Burger King, the company announced.
