Olympic volleyball medalist Kim Glass has exposed the horrendous face injuries she received when a homeless guy hurled a metal pipe at her in Los Angeles.
On Instagram, the 37-year-old former athlete and model revealed her horror experience from Saturday, showing her right eye totally shut, darkened and stitched up, and a horrible cut on her nose.
Glass described how she was exiting a lunch in downtown Los Angeles when she was accosted by a homeless guy.
The athlete, who has previously lived in Russia, Puerto Rico, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, China, and Brazil, made it plain that living in the crime-ridden City of Angels is difficult.
“Guys, just be safe out there … there’s a lot of mentally ill people on these streets right now,” she said in a second video.
“You shouldn’t have to be fearful when you walk, but it’s true. You guys just be safe, OK,” she said, later also writing that she was grateful because it “could have been SO much worse.”
